Spalding (Phonics Plus) Methods Honolulu Private Tutor Specialist

Mrs. Hawkins began using Ramalda Spalding Phonics in l970. In l989 she completed the 30-hour Spalding Institute course by the Director of Phonics Plus, Ernellen Lui, in the Spalding Method, (Honolulu, Hawaii).

Spalding Phonics is used in several private schools in Honolulu, including Sacred Hearts Academy. Maryknoll School, and Trinity Christian School. Mrs. Hawkins adapts tutorials for children currently using the Spalding Method in their school.

Mrs. Hawkins uses the Spalding Method with children age 5 to adults needing specialized reading approaches. She often integrates this method with her other training, including Orton-Gillingham, Slingerland, and Lindamood-Bell strategies.
